Inner Loop stopped in Md. after pedestrian killed near I-95 ramp
All thru lanes on the Capital Beltway’s Inner Loop are stopped at the Interstate 95 interchange in Adelphi, Maryland, after a deadly crash early Saturday morning.
A man was struck and killed on the roadway near Exit 27 for the northbound ramp to I-95 around 5:45 a.m. Saturday, Maryland State Police told WTOP.
Police are holding traffic for a crash investigation. I-95 is still accessible from the Inner Loop with one right lane available on the northbound ramp.
Drivers should follow police direction and make for extra travel time. Delays stretch back for about one mile to Md. Route 650/New Hampshire Ave. (Exit 28).
