2020 Wheaton Arts Parade and Festival Poster Contest Seeks Entries as September Event Moves to New Location and Will Celebrate ‘Parade the Triangle’

The fourth annual Wheaton Arts Parade and Festival (WAP) is seven months away, but the planning is in motion for the event that grows in stature each year. Entries are now being accepted from Montgomery County college and high school students for the poster design contest that will add to the enthusiasm of this year’s event.
The poster contest entry deadline is Friday, Feb. 28. The winning design will help promote the parade and festival that take place on Sunday, Sept. 20 in the Wheaton Triangle and on the soon to be completed town square—the Marian Fryer Plaza.
Three years of construction under the Wheaton Revitalization Project will be completed in spring. The revitalization of the downtown area will enable the Wheaton Urban District and other organizations to host public events at the plaza and on its stage starting in summer.
