Small plane crashes in Prince George’s County, damages homes and cars
Prince George’s County police confirmed on Sunday afternoon that a small plane crashed in a neighborhood near the intersection of Good Luck Road and Auburn Avenue in New Carrollton, Maryland.
The plane damaged some homes and cars. No details about injuries have been released yet.
The College Park Fire Department confirmed through its Twitter account that a house and a car caught fire due to the crash. The house fire was contained and the hazardous materials unit was called to contain a fuel spill.
The fire department believes the plane took off from the airport in College Park.
Update: 6600 Auburn Ave. Foam 12 is extinguishing an auto as a result of the crash, rest of crew assisting with containing runoff until arrival of HazMat. Small plane reported to have flown out of College Park airport.
