On Small Business Saturday, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will visit one of the County’s local business and music staples, Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center. Chuck Levin’s is a place where musicians have stopped through while in the D.C. area, including jazz bassist Ron Carter, jazz guitarist Pat Martino, Grammy award winner Marcus Miller and trumpet icon Doc Severinsen.  This visit is part of the County Executive’s effort to encourage residents to support local merchants in our community and shop at small businesses around the County.

Biden urges Trump to sign coronavirus bill into law

Unemployment benefits and a ban on evictions will be affected unless the bill is signed by the end of Saturday. The package worth $900bn (£665bn) was approved by Congress after months of difficult negotiations and compromises. Mr Trump says he wants to give people bigger one-off payments. The bill includes the payment of $600 to Americans earning less than $75,000 a year.
