County Executive Elrich to Launch New Child Care Center as Important Part of His $7 Million Early Childhood Initiative

WHAT: Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will join Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Jack Smith, members of the Montgomery County Board of Education and the Montgomery County Council, and other County officials at the grand-opening ceremony for the new Upcounty Early Childhood and Family Involvement Center at Emory Grove.

This center will serve 80 preschoolers in an inclusive setting that combines general and special education programing. Additionally, it will support 150 neighborhood families and caretakers with a play-based program focused on social emotional development.
