Montgomery County Libraries Interim Branch to Close in Preparation for the Opening of the Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center
Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) has announced that the Wheaton Interim branch, located at 2400 Arcola Ave., will close at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, to prepare for the opening of the new Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center, which is scheduled to open in late summer.
“The Wheaton Interim will be closing ahead of the reopening of the new Wheaton library branch to facilitate internal reorganization of collections and shelving,” said Acting Director Anita Vassallo. “We look forward to welcoming customers to the long awaited new Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center at the end of the summer and hope they will visit nearby branches and our 24/7 website while awaiting the grand reopening of the new library and community recreation center.”
