DLC and MCPD to Host Keeping it Safe Coalition Video Contest Awards Ceremony

The Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control (DLC) and Montgomery County Department of Police will host the annual Keeping It Safe (KIS) Coalition Student Video Contest.
DLC Director Bob Dorfman and Acting Police Chief Russ Hamill will recognize winning Montgomery County middle and high school students for creating 30-second public service announcements to educate young people about the risks of under 21 alcohol use. There were 44 video submissions from student groups this year. The winning students will be announced at the event and will receive trophies, certificates and cash prizes for their respective schools.
The KIS Student Video Contest has long been supported by former Montgomery County Police Chief Thomas Manger, who recently retired. Manger will be recognized at the event. Montgomery County ... more
