More than $400,000 has been distributed to 16 businesses impacted by Wheaton Revitalization Montgomery County’s Small Business Assistance Program, which was created by County Council Bill 6-12 that was sponsored by Councilmember Nancy Navarro and signed into law by County Executive Ike Leggett to provide technical and financial assistance to qualified Downtown Wheaton businesses during the three-year Wheaton Revitalization construction project, has distributed more than $400,000 to 16 businesses in the first phase of the program. An additional $33,000 has been approved for disbursement to two additional businesses. Applications from four other businesses are currently being reviewed.
