County Executive Ike Leggett and County Council President Hans Riemer have proclaimed July 20, of every year, as “Open Housing Day” in Montgomery County to recognize the 51st Anniversary of Fair Housing in the County,

County Council President Hans Riemer presented a joint proclamation recognizing the anniversary of passage of the County’s Open Housing Law on Tuesday, July 24. Representatives of the Human Rights Commission, the Office of Human Rights, the NAACP, the Interagency Fair Housing Coordinating Group, the Housing Opportunities Commission, and other community of fair housing advocates joined Riemer for the presentation.
