BALTIMORE (AP) — Prosecutors say a Baltimore pharmacy owner who is accused of filling fake prescriptions has been charged with more than 300 counts of distribution of controlled substances and other offenses.

The Baltimore Sun reports that 47-year-old Susan Iwunze Nwoga filled patently fraudulent prescriptions and dispensed controlled dangerous substances that include oxycodone since 2013.

The pharmacist is accused of taking cash for filling some of the fraudulent prescriptions. Nwoga would submit claims for payment and reimbursement to Medicaid and other health benefits programs for other fake prescriptions.

Co-conspirator Darnella Carter is accused of presenting fraudulent prescriptions to Nwoga and selling the drugs to others. The 48-year-old was charged with multiple offenses including obtaining a benefit by fraud.

It’s unclear if the accused have lawyers.
