Armed robbery suspect shot by Prince George’s Co. police during arrest
WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police said a suspect wanted for armed robbery was shot by an officer Monday afternoon.
In a series of tweets, the police department said Prince George’s County officers were inside an apartment on Cherrywood Lane in Greenbelt, Maryland, helping D.C. police serve an arrest warrant on a suspect wanted for armed robbery.
The officer fired one shot, which struck the suspect, who taken to the hospital. No officers were hurt.
While attempting to arrest the suspect inside of an apartment, 1 officer discharged weapon, striking the suspect 1 time. Suspect was taken to the hospital. No officers were hurt. (2/3)

Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinksi is expected to provide more details on the officer-involved shooting.
