HOLLYWOOD, Md. (AP) — Mourners have remembered the teenage girl who was shot when a classmate opened fire inside their Maryland high school.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the hundreds who attended Thursday’s service for 16-year-old Jaelynn Willey watched a montage of her with her eight siblings and received a card inscribed with her “best ever” chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Willey was shot March 20 at Great Mills High School and died March 22. Her funeral program remembered the sophomore as “vibrant, beautiful and sweet.” Her mother, Melissa Willey, spoke of holding her youngest child, as she did last week when she announced her daughter was brain-dead.

Willey’s funeral is Friday. The interment will be private.
